Twin River begins superintendent search

GENOA— Twin River Schools will be looking for a new superintendent.Chris Lecher, who was brought in on a one-year contract as interim superintendent, will leave the district when his contract expires in June. He had previously indicated he would like to stay with the district long-term.

'Winner-take-all’ introduced in Legislature

LINCOLN —At the request of Governor Jim Pillen, last week Senator Loren Lippincott introduced LB3 to restore Nebraska to a winner-take-all system of awarding electoral votes in presidential elections.“I am grateful to Senator Lippincott for his leadership in restoring winner-take-all,” Pillen said.

Supervisors take oath of office

Engineering technician Derek Hanson celebrated 20 years of service at Cornhusker Public Power District.Hanson was hired in September 2004 as a line technician. He worked at the Cornhusker Power Service Center in Fullerton and transferred to the Columbus crew in March 2005.

GENOA — Twin River’s Mark Koch will be among the honorees going into the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame.“It is a great honor to have,” Mark Koch said. “It’s something I have always done. My dad was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
