Tracy was born June 7, 1966 to Donald and Phyllis (Stickney) Blessen in Columbus. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1984. She attended Platte College in Columbus and graduated in 1986 with an associate degree in gerontology. After graduation, she worked at Hungry Harold’s at the bowling alley, Arby’s, and Walmart in Columbus. On Aug. 24, 1991, she was united in marriage to Lynn Belitz at Trinity Lutheran in Columbus. They made their home on the farm north of Fullerton. She spent many years at home raising her children. She sold Mary Kay for over 20 years. After the kids grew up, she worked at B-Z’s Café, San Ann’a, and Home Variety in Fullerton. She was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids.

Tracy was a true artist. She was known for her custom Christmas ornaments she designed and created. She painted, scrapbooked, stippled, and published a book called The Farmer’s Wife. She also loved her flower gardens. She called it her “grandma time” because she used to help her grandmother garden. She enjoyed putting up her light displays at their home for all holidays. She was passionate about collecting and building a home library that she shared with her friends and family, which fostered a love of reading in her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn of Fullerton; children, Scott (Kelsey) Belitz of Fullerton and Allie (Austin) Remm of Grand Island; grandchildren, Rowen and Onyx Belitz; mother, Phyllis Blessen of Columbus; sisters, Teresa Jo Sterup of Tecumseh, Tonya (Matt) Dykstra of Omaha; brother-in-law, Rob Liskovec of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Blessen; sister, Tamara Liskovec; and her grandparents.
