Todd Backman retires from Cornhusker Public Power District

Todd Backman retired from Cornhusker Public Power District on October 18, 2024. Backman was first hired in 1983 and has held several positions within the district. He was promoted to journey line technician in 1986, lead line technician in 2000 and finally crew foreman in 2009.

Holiday plants and toxcity

Ornamental plants are a beautiful part of the holiday. Like many plants in our gardens and landscapes, some can be poisonous. One might wonder why a toxic plant would even be sold, but we are often in contact with toxic plants like philodendron, rhubarb and potatoes.Many plants have toxins.

Fullerton Bloodmobile a success

Fullerton Bloodmobile was held December 10th. Our fantastic donors gave 44 units! Walkins were Tom Bialas and Mike Bosak. Those giving double units were Mike Sullivan, Chuck Voichahoske, and Debra Zarek. Huge thanks to our local volunteers. Next blood drive will be February 11th.
