Fullerton water safe to drink

FULLERTON — The boil order has been lifted.The City of Fullerton announced on Saturday that the water was again safe to consume. Residents were under the order since Oct. 18 after E. coli was found in Fullerton’s water supply.

Twin River’s football team did something this year that no other Titan squad was able to accomplish. The team finished the season with a winning record. Twin River shutout Humphrey-Lindsay Academy 40-0 on Friday to wrap up the football season.

Twin River breaking ground on Oct. 30

GENOA — Twin River Public Schools has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 2:30 p.m., to celebrate with the communities and launch construction of the new Twin River school. The event will take place on the school site at the west side of the playground.

Fullerton represented at Doane Fall Festival

Jaci Maxfield, Lylla Sabata, Morgan Supik, Makayla Robinson and Keila Dubas have been selected to perform in the Doane Fall Festival of Winds Honor Bands. The concert will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3:45 p.m. on the Doane Campus in Crete.

Can fund supports veterans

The Fullerton Area Economic Development Corporation’s can fund program is donating $1,000 to the Nance County Veterans Memorial Building Expansion Project. The can fund program is maintained and organized by Tony Shotkoski and his family.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

LINCOLN — Women have a one in eight chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).On average, 310,720 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the United States; approximately 1,770 of those are Nebraska women.
