Beat the heat: Give blood

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Red Cross Bloodmobile (Camp Do Good) will be visiting on Monday, July 15, at St. Anthony Parish Center, 111 N. 6th St., Cedar Rapids. Beat the heat and come donate blood in cool air conditioning. The session begins at noon and the last donor will be taken at 5:30 p.m.

Supernovas season ticket renewals officially underway

OMAHA — The Omaha Supernovas, Nebraska’s professional volleyball team and first Pro Volleyball Federation Champions, have officially started its season ticket renewal process ahead of the fast-approaching 2025 season, which is due to begin in January of 2025.

First West Nile case found in Nebraska

July 4th meal in park provided, rain location set

FULLERTON — On July 4th there will be a meal provided for the community by Victory Baptist Church from 5-6:30 p.m. in the park. However, if it rains during that time, the location for the meal will be the Ag Society Bldg. (West of the event center at the fairgrounds).

WAYNE — Wayne State College included 1,154 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Spring 2024 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are fulltime undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
