KEARNEY – Funny. Curious. Kind. Caring. Authentic. Enthusiastic.Those are some of the words people use to describe Ethan Ciancio.“He is one of the happiest and friendliest people I have ever met,” said Patty Seevers, who knows a thing or two about great first impressions.

New book looks at unsolved murders

Linda Wilke Heil has been interested in the early English settlers in central Nebraska for many years.A life-long resident of Sherman County, Wilke Heil came across the story of three young Englishmen who were murdered in western Nance County in 1884. The murders remain unsolved to this day.

CSC announces President’s List

CHADRON — Chadron State College has announced the undergraduate students qualifying for the Spring 2024 President’s List. The list consists of students with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

UNK announces dean’s list

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester.Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Students earn a 4.
