Fullerton Honors Convocation

Genealogical Society Meets

The Boone-Nance County Genealogical Society held their regular monthly meeting on Monday May 8 at the St. Edward Public Library with 12 members present.

Journal Rewind

Three high school coaches were presented F awards at the All-Sport Banquet. Pat Larsen (boys basketball), Bill Farrar (girls basketball) and Craig Christensen (wrestling) all were retiring from coaching at the end of the school year.

Power District awards scholarship

Loup Power District has awarded scholarships to five area students who are attending Central Community College in Columbus this fall. The goal is to encourage students to plan careers locally after college. Twin River’s BradenAllen was one of the scholarship winners.

Wood Awarded 4-H scholarship

The Nebraska 4-H Foundation would like to congratulate the 2023 Scholarship Winners. These 4-H’ers are commended for their outstanding accomplishments in 4-H, dedication to community service and high scholastic achievement. Paige Wood was the only Nance County winner.

NCC Names Graduates

The year 2023 marked a milestone at Northeast Community College. The College held its 50th commencement ceremony to celebrate the success of its graduates. Area graduates include: Associate of Arts: Fullerton – Sophie Knopik, Haley Turek. Associate Degree Nursing: Genoa – Shyanne Koch.

Fullerton Sends 2 to Nebraska Ag Youth Institute

LINCOLN — The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) received a record-breaking number of applications from current high school juniors and seniors across the state to attend the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI) this summer. Two Fullerton students were selected to attend this year.
