10 Years Ago November 28, 2012 Preliminary reports show that 40,301 deer were harvested during the November 10-18 Nebraska firearm season. That is a decline of 27 percent from the 2011 record firearm season harvest of 55,400.

Grace Notes

Just outside the back door of the farmhouse where I grew up was a large “cat pan”. It was there my mom would conveniently dispose of table scraps, as well as any leftovers past their prime. She knew that sooner or later our cats or dog would show up to eat.

Football Contest Winners

The final football games in the 2022 contest period, played over the last weekend Mike Bittner of Fullerton taking first place for $15. It is Mikes first win in the contest, so congratulations to you. Taking second place was Bill Farroar for $10.

Troopers Arrest 26 Impaired Drivers Over Thanksgiving Weekend

NOVEMBER 28, 2022 (LINCOLN, NEB.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol removed from the road 26 impaired drivers during Thanksgiving weekend. This weekend marked one of the busiest travel times of the year and coincided with the national Click it or Ticket campaign.

Lisa Cantrell-Pebeck, formerly of Fullerton is a member of the cast.
