NE Task Force One deploys to Texas

LINCOLN — Governor Jim Pillen has directed the deployment of Nebraska Task Force One (NE-TF1) – Nebraska’s Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Team to flood-stricken areas of Texas. The 45-member group, including two canine teams, will leave Lincoln this afternoon.

Crowds flocked to the Nance County Fairgrounds last week for the Nance County Festival. The festival kicked off on Thursday and ran until Saturday and featured live music each night, plenty of food to eat, a free carnival in the baseball outfield and fireworks. 

Fullerton implements water restrictions

FULLERTON — The Fullerton City Council voted to restrict residents watering their lawns to just three days a week.The council unanimously approved a plan to limit water usage to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with lawn watering prohibited between the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
