The May 16,2025 Flower Belles meeting was held at South View. The meeting was called to order by President Karon Horn. Kathy Sonderup was hostess for the meeting. A total of eleven members were present for the meeting.The plant sale we had earlier in the month was discussed.

Classic cars going through Genoa

GENOA — Are you a fan of classic cars? More than 400 classic cars will drive through Genoa on Sunday, June 1.The cars will be part of the Nebraska Rod & Custom Association Tour Nebraska.

All-class reunion is Saturday

NCJ Staff ReportGENOA — The Genoa and Twin River all-class reunion is set for Saturday.The reunion will run from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Genoa Fire House. Food trucks will be on hand from 5-8 p.m.

GENOA — The Twin River Board of Education got an earful on Monday.During the public participation portion of the board’s May meeting, Connie Worden addressed the board regarding altercations that have occurred between students at the school.

NSP investigating triple murder, suicide in Dawson County

LEXINGTON — The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating an apparent murder- suicide in rural Dawson County.This morning at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence at Johnson Lake, Plum Creek Canyon #1.
