Each year the Sunday School children of Fullerton Community Church choose a mission project to accomplish during Lent. Previous projects have included Heifer International, Orphan Grain Train, and Water for One Great Hour of Sharing. This year’s project was to help Fullerton’s Future (Fullerton’s upcoming Daycare and Preschool center) get closer to their financial goal. On Sundays during Lent, the children collected coins during each church service. The first week they began collecting pennies, with each successive week progressing in currency from nickels, dimes and quarters up to dollars for a total of $360.14. The Mission Committee of the AdSession at the church then donated $139.86, bringing the total to a $500.00 donation. The Sunday School children were very happy to make this donation. The presented their donation to Allen Chlopek, Fullerton City Administrator last month.
