La Dolce Vita MAC program February 9

Merrick Arts Council in Central City is bringing a flute/ guitar duo, La Dolce Vita, to the stage on Sunday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. La Dolce Vita is a Lincoln based flutist Lindsay Bartlett and classical guitarist Antonio Forgione duo with a passion for using the ensemble as a catalyst to connect art, culture, and history with an international lens.

Founded in 2023, Italian born Forgione and Virginia native Bartlett met through their teaching for the Music Outreach Program in Lincoln. After some simple sight reading sessions, their joint love for the repertoire and desire to bring music to the forefront of their lives, the duo quickly began exploring opportunities to perform throughout the state. Their ensemble name, La Dolce Vita, is borrowed from the common Nebraska slogan “The Good Life,” translated to Forgione’s native Italian.

Tickets will be available at the door for $15 for adults, students are free, and can also be found online at https://our.show/vitadolce Merrick Arts Council season members will be admitted with their membership.

The performance is partially funded by Nebraska Arts Council. It will take place at the Central City Performing Arts Center, Edwin and Bernice Lock Theatre. For more information, email them at macatthepac@gmail.com or by calling 308940-0274.
