LINCOLN — Austin Anderson of Fullerton, a recent graduate of Twin River Public Schools, has been selected to the newest cohort of the Teacher Scholars Academy in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Education and Human Sciences. Students in the academy are engaged in a supportive learning community throughout their teachereducation program.
Anderson plans to major in secondary education (social studies).
The academy was established to prepare teachers who will continue to grow and develop beyond their degree. To date, 112 new teachers have graduated from the academy and nearly 75% are teaching in schools across Nebraska.
