The family of Ron Cruise is pleased to announce the winner of the 2025 Ron Cruise Memorial Scholarship. The family awarded the annual scholarship to Owen Kimble. Owen is an undergraduate student at Nebraska Wesleyan University majoring in History. Owen plans to use the scholarship funds to support an independent study project in collaboration with his mentor and staff from the Nebraska State Archeology Office. Owen has expressed a strong interest in field study that supports exploration, preservation, and interpretation of archeological sites in Nebraska.
The family of Ron Cruise created this scholarship fund to support the education and training of students in the field of archeology with a particular emphasis on students who can use the scholarship funds to support field research within Nebraska.
