Kearney, Nebraska - Credit to Capital: Build, Borrow & Grow - Credit Education & Loan Workshop, Thursday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at CCC Entrepreneurship Center, 319 W. 11th St. Participants will learn how credit works and how to build and manage credit, as well as explore loan options available through the Center. Eligible small businesses will have the chance to apply for loans up to $25,000. Experts will be on site to answer questions, help explore options, and provide hands-on loan application assistance. Online - Rural Grocery Webinar Series: Local Food Procurement Double Up Food Bucks, Thursday, Sept. 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. During this event, participants will explore local food aggregators, practical considerations for purchasing local foods, and identifying opportunities and challenges for increasing local food sales in rural communities. They will also learn about the Double Up Food Bucks program, how it supports healthy food access in communities, and opportunities for rural grocery stores to become involved or enrolled as participating retailers. Online - Restaurant Academy (Spanish), Mondays, Sept. 28, and Oct. 5, 12, and 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This series of workshops offers participants the opportunity to learn how to start and manage their own eating establishment. They will explore topics like profits and losses, the importance of inventories, health code responsibilities, and more during this four-part event.
