Kathleen Drozd

Kathleen Drozd, 63, of Genoa, died Oct. 5, 2026, at Bryan LGH East Campus in Lincoln.

The funeral service was held on Friday, Oct. 9 at First Church of Monroe in Monroe, with Lay Minister Connie Kramer officiating. Visitation was held on Friday at the church. Interment followed the service at Gruetli Cemetery.

Kathleen was born on Nov. 17, 1962, in Manchester, N.H., to John Thomas and Nova Ruth (Smith) Nole. Kathleen graduated from Genoa High School in 1981.

Kathleen was united in marriage to Alan Drozd on June 16, 2006, in Fullerton.

Kathleen worked many jobs during her working years. She took pride in the fact that many of her jobs were not traditionally jobs worked by women. These included roofing, Sand Construction, Shell Valley fiber glass, autobody, and road crew construction. She also worked as a waitress, bartender, and at Columbus Small Animal Hospital.

Kathleen had a love for all animals, especially her dogs. She also loved working with horses while she was in 4-H.

Kathleen is survived by husband, Alan Drozd of Genoa; daughter, D’Neen Czapla of Genoa; brother, John (Dorothy) Nole of Genoa; sisters, Jane (Bill) Swanson of Genoa; twin sister, Maureen (Tim) Tiaden of Monroe; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nova Nole; and brother, Mark Nole.
