LETTER: Waterboy asking for help

Water Boy is requesting help from the public. The below is in response to a comment made a week ago. “My husband delivers used aluminum irrigation pipe to Lincoln and some of the summer loads get rejected due to being to Radioactive but not on winter deliveries!” I need help documenting the answer why which I already understand the why. Please call or text 308550-0433 if you can shed light on Radioactivity in the area.

Help request. - Person sharing the rejected pipe comment. Please call.

- Anyone have radioactivity info for the area?

- Anyone know how to run a Geiger Counter or detection device?

- Anyone have youth that is interested in an environmental FFA or 4-H project?

- Anyone have stained irrigation pipe with what I call Orange Crud residues flaking off them now or the god-awful water filters off your drinking water filtration systems that contains water staining residue?

Alerted extension. They had a meeting and asked me to supply samples. Even offered to include a Soil Geologist that may help with sampling. Said they may even have some funds for testing which is expensive. I am stubborn and said youth has to be involved in this project and they get all the information for their project. Waiting for an extension reply. Love kids and love to challenge their thinking while helping to educate them. All my past investigative work affects their future. Sampling is best done in the next 45 days.

For the CPNRD area I have been pushing for a simple solution. Add Heavy Metals to the CPNRD Nitrates over 10ppm $4,000 water treatment system assistance program. Above addresses potential high Nitrates, potential dangers of high Heavy Metals and the bonus is protection from potential Munitions Contaminants. Betting it will reduce yearly Radioactivity exposure to. Farmers say they can get you Munitions samples in Nance County that came from the west. Info and drain locations look to be strongly associated with some of CPNRD’s high staining water areas. This includes water stains on houses, cement and what we see in rural areas. Uranium Water Treatment plants are both East and West of Central City and the Platte Rive, might also be supplying Uranium as well.

I appreciate any help with the above requests and would love to work with your youth. Have a couple parents that want to sit down and talk. No commitments yet.
