I would like to take this opportunity to give credit to a couple local guys that have gone above and beyond in making one part of Fullerton better.
Headed by Don King, with Randy Cox assisting along the way, the improvements made at the Fullerton ballparks are sure commendable. Don and Randy have put in many long days over the last few summers, and the results speak for themselves. I know I sure appreciate driving by and seeing the infields in perfect shape, and the pristine green grass. There were some sizeable projects, and additional minor particulars, but they have all come together to make ballparks the community of Fullerton should be very proud of. The covered grandstand of the baseball field is something seldom seen in rural Nebraska, and make this a unique and iconic venue. I’m not sure of the year of construction, but the grandstand still continued to draw positive comments from visiting fans many years later.
I was in the stands for a few games this summer, and every single night I had multiple people from the visiting towns comment on how great the fields/ facilities look. Just wanted to make sure those who put in the work understand the positive impact that they have made for Fullerton. It sure is impressive to see the results of their work over the last few summers.
Thanks also to all the others who’ve helped or donated along the way. If you see Don or Randy, give them a handshake or pat on the back for a job well done.
Sincerely, Scott Gonsior Fullerton
