In the second gulf war in Iraq there was an Iraqi official named Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, but he was better known in the US as Baghdad Bob. He was the Minister of Information. During the war he gave press conferences and talked about how well Iraq was doing against America and our allies.

Here it is, almost another year come and gone. The time when many people make goals or New Year’s resolutions. I prefer not to make resolutions as there is a better chance I won’t do them. With making goals, you want to make sure to make them measurable and attainable.

Department of Revenue Commissioner Fulton announced his resignation after having led the State’s Department of Revenue since January 2016. Prior to his appointment, Fulton ran a small business and represented a Lincoln-based district in the Nebraska Unicameral (2007-2013).

Random Christmas Thoughts

My son has mastered sarcasm, I will make a joke (usually a bad one); he doesn’t laugh but says “you’re hilarious”. He actually means “shut up Mom” but doesn’t tell me that thankfully. We don’t need anything for Christmas. Like most Americans, we have a house full of stuff.
