Warriors’ season ends at sub-district

GREELEY— The Warriors ran into a brick wall last week.Fullerton saw its season come to an end in the D1-7 Sub-District semifinal game against No. 7 Central Valley, falling 58-26.The Warriors kept the game close early — tying the game at 5-all with 2:40 remaining in the opening quarter.

Titans fall in season finale

GENOA — The Titans hit a speed bump to finish the regular season.Twin River dropped their season finale on Friday, falling 79-41 to Class D-2 No. 2 Archangels Catholic.The Defenders shot a red-hot 52 percent from the field, including hitting 7-of-18 attempts from behind the arc.

Snow cancels Warrior finale

FULLERTON — Fullerton enters the sub-district this week on a roll.The Warriors opened the D1-6 Sub-District on Tuesday (results after deadline) the winners of their last 5 contests. Snow forced the cancelation of their final regular season game, Friday’s game against Palmer.

Registration open of Mike Trader’s basketball camp

Mike Trader’s Annual Mid-America Basketball Camp will conduct eight individual sessions this summer. The overnight and commuter camps for boys and girls will be held on July 6-9 at Doane University and July 20-23 at Central Community College in Columbus.

Titans hold on for 73-60 win over Bulldogs

LINDSAY — You can’t take your foot off the gas when you are playing a good team.After leading the entire first half, Twin River nearly had Thursday’s matchup with Humphrey-Lindsay slip away. The Bulldogs battled-back in the third quarter to tie the game at 37-all with 2:39 remaining in the quarter.

Titans fall to Wildcats to open sub-district

MURDOCK — Playing short-handed on Monday, Twin River saw their season end, falling to Cedar Bluffs 41-36 in the opening round of the C2-2 sub-district at Elmwood-Murdock.The Titans fourth quarter comeback bid fell short as the Wildcats were able to hold on.

SHELBY — A handful of Nance County wrestlers have punched their tickets for State.Twin River saw Cade Kunkel, Zach Held, Braxtin Fowler and Chance Swantek, along with Fullerton’s Tate Wood, qualify for State. Kunkel, Held and Fowler were all district champions. Wood was district runner-up.
