“Grandma Flo” has near perfect attendance for FPS sporting events beginning in the fall of 2005, when her first grandson played for the Warriors. Jarrid Dubas (2009) Elijah Norman (2019) Isaak Norman (2021) and Aiden & Isabel Norman are juniors this year.

Jr. High boys basketball played in a tournament at Riverside Saturday 28. The teams in the tournament with the Warriors were Riverside, Central Valley, St. Edward, Humphrey L.H.F., Humprhey St. Francis, Burwell and Nebraska Christian. In the first round game the Warriors faced the tough Humphrey St.

Warriors Take On St. Francis Flyers

The tournament was hosted by Central Valley High School. The Warriors after the upset victory over Central Valley were looking to keep their momentum going with a win over another team, in St. Francis, who had defeated the Warriors early in the season.

Warriors face Riverside in the third place game of the tournament.

The Warriors were looking to bounce back after their last lost and redeem themselves from the lost they had to Riverside earlier in the season. The Warriors came out in the first quarter playing great defense and held Riverside to only 6 point.

Lady Warriors Put Away The Longhorns

Featured the Lady Warriors against an improved Burwell Longhorn team. The Warriors led at half 19-14 and were able to score enough points in the second half to finally put away the Longhorns with a score of 42-37. This earned the Lady Warriors a 3rd place finish in the conference tournament.

Semi-Final Round of Conferences

On Friday January 20th, In the semi final round of Goldenrod action, the Lady Warriors rematched the Nebraska Christian Eagles. The game was hard fought and was within 4 points as late as 2:35 left in the 4th quarter, but the Eagles were able to hit some shots and pull away with a 43-34 point win.

Lady Warriors Dominate Palmer Tigers

In the second round of the Goldenrod Conference Tournament, the Lady Warriors took on the Palmer Tigers in Central City @ Nebraska Christian. The Warriors took an early and commanding lead into the half leading 32-3.
