Troopers find cocaine in I-80 traffic stop

LEXINGTON — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested a Grand Island man after finding over 5 pounds of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80.Friday, July 24, at approximately 11:05 a.m., a trooper saw a Mercedes sedan following a semi at an unsafe distance.

COLUMBUS — A Columbus man was sentenced to at least 75 years for the fatal shooting of a Fullerton woman.Jack Reeg, 26, of Columbus, was sentenced to 75 to 85 years in prison on Wednesday. He was given 317 days credit for time served.

FULLERTON — A St. Edward man has been sentenced to at least 5 years in prison for charges in Nance County.Neal C. Reardon, 23, of St. Edward, was sentenced to a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years for attempted sexual assault and 2 years for enticement by electronic communication device.
