Area hoop stars receive conference honors

The post season honors continue to roll in.GOLDENROD CONFERENCE Fullerton’s Kane Wetovick was named to the all-conference first team. Terrick Gonsior and Jakob Supik were named to the all-conference second team. Jacob Maxfield was named an all-conference honorable mention.

Warriors get 2nd win of season

GREELEY — Fullerton snapped an 8-game losing streak to extend their season with a 33-24 win over Burwell in the opening round of the D1-7 subdistrict on Monday.The win avenges a pair of losses from earlier this season.

Warriors drop pair on road

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Warriors enter the final week of the season still looking for that elusive second win.Fullerton fell to Riverside 49-29 on Thursday and Grand Island Lutheran 58-36 on Saturday.The Warriors continue to show improvement as the season winds down.

FULLERTON — The struggles continued last week for Fullerton as the Warriors continue to look for their second win of the season.Fullerton dropped a game at home on Friday, falling 62-37 to Pleasanton and on the road to Lutheran-Northeast 41-26 on Thursday.

Free throw woes doom Warriors to Goldenrod exit

BURWELL — Free throw struggles helped lead the Warriors to an early exit from the Goldenrod Conference Tournament.Fullerton connected on just 11-of-28 free throw attempts in Saturday’s 41-30 opening round loss to Burwell.

FULLERTON — The Warriors remain winless on the season, but they continue to show improvement on the court.Fullerton dropped a pair of games last week, falling to Nebraska Christian 51-31 at home on Thursday and Hampton/Heartland 47-36 on the road on Friday.
