NCJ staff wins 5 press awards

LINCOLN — The Nance County Journal is an award-winning newspaper.The NCJ staff learned Saturday night that they had received five awards in the 2024 Better Newspaper Competition Among the Newspapers of Nebraska.

50 YEARS & STILL BLOOMING STRONG

FULLERTON — This coming Friday, the Flower Bells Garden Club will be hosting their monthly meeting at the Fullerton Public Library in celebration of their 50th anniversary. The Flower Belles held their first official meeting on April 19, 1974 with seven original charter members.

Sixth graders donated to Fullerton’s Future

The 6th grade class of Fullerton Public Schools conducted a silent auction selling baskets of various items at a home basketball game. As part of their leadership class, they were tasked with identifying a leadership project.

Cemetery Association receives $5,000 check

Ashley Boryca, board member of the Nance County Foundation, presented a check for $5,000 to Butch Horacek, Vice President, and board member of the Fullerton Cemetery Association, to go toward the purchase of a loader tractor that will be used to help with upkeep of the Fullerton Cemetery. 

Belgrade sets garage sale dates

BELGRADE — The Belgrade Community Garage Sale will be May 17 and 18.Anyone who wants to list them garage sale in the May 15 edition of the Nance County Journal ahead can stop by our office to place your listing. Garage sale ads must be prepaid and the cost is based on the length of your ad.

Boone Nance Genealogical Society

Ten members of the Boone Nance Genealogical Society gathered at the Fullerton Public Library on March 11th. With March being Women’s History Month, members told stories and memories about female ancestors.
