City falls prey to wire fraud scheme

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton is cooperating with the Nebraska State Patrol regarding a $174,086.55 wire fraud scheme.The Fullerton City Attorney Katie Sharp released the following statement:The City of Fullerton announced that it fell victim to a sophisticated wire fraud scheme.

FULLERTON — This is the 21st year of offering a golf camp to students in 5th-9th grades A Junior Golf Camp was held at Pawnee Hills for students in 5th through 9th grades on June 15-18 with 18 campers. The camp was broken into 2 groups with 2 rotations.

Fullerton grad crowned Swedish Festival king

STROMSBURG — A Fullerton grad was crowned Swedish Festival king on Friday in Stromsburg. The following is the biography that was read at his coronation: Steve R. Dubas, youngest child of seven, was born to Steve and Mildred Dubas of Fullerton. He graduated from Fullerton High School in 1989.

Veterans plan July 4 celebration

FULLERTON — America’s 250th Birthday Celebration will take place on July 4 on the Nance County Veteran’s Memorial grounds in Fullerton.The day will begin at 9 a.m. with registration for the 4th annual Tom Delaney Memorial Car “Show and Shine.” Everyone is welcome to come and share your rides.

City looks at adding frisbee golf

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton could add a frisbee golf course in the future.Jason Maxfield, a teacher at Fullerton, asked the Fullerton City Council last week if it would be possible to install 9 holes of frisbee golf somewhere in the city.

CENTRAL CITY — A Fullerton grad has opened a chiropractor’s office in Central City.Dr. T.J. Ostransky, a member of the Fullerton Class of 2015, recently opened the doors of Ostransky Chiropractic. The business, located at 215 G. St., Central City, opened May 4.

FULLERTON — The Fullerton Board of Education voted on Monday on two policies involving artificial intelligence within the district.The board adopted Policy 6038 (Student Use of AI Tools) and Policy 4065 (Staff Use of AI Tools).
