Kurt Pickrel, president of First Bank & Trust, presents a check to Jon Epley for $10,000 from the Margaret Russell Trust Donor Advised Fund of Nebraska Community Foundation to be used for the expansion of the Nance County Veterans Memorial and Resource Center.

These three completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Fullerton Public Library. Ansley Jazwick (left) is the daughter of Jake and Andrea Jazwick, Taggert Tarnick is the son of Jim and Kourtney Tarnick, and Tucker Wondercheck is the son of Heather Wondercheck and Kevin Wondercheck.

FULLERTON — School won’t start for a few more weeks, but class was in session last week for 28 Fullerton students who will comprise the schools new show choir: 8th and Broadway. The students spent time learning the choreography from Emma Sutter of Aurora.

FULLERTON — Whether it be toilet paper, baby formula or eggs, for the past several years, we as a country have gotten used to going through shortages. One shortage that has hit especially hard to small communities is an ever-growing shortage of clergy.

Fullerton FFA continues tradition, holds Fair Fun Night

FULLERTON — In conjunction with the 4-H Showcase that took place this past weekend, the Fullerton Future Farmers of America organization held a Fair Fun Night at the city ball fields on Friday evening. Historically the FFA holds a game night in conjunction with the Nance County Fair.

Fullerton moves to even/odd water plan

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton will relax water restrictions starting this weekend. The city announced this week that residents can resume watering their lawns every other day between dusk and dawn. Odd numbered houses can water their yard on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
