FULLERTON — There is still time to join in on the holiday fun surrounding the Tree of Love.The Tree of Love is in its 31st year. Each year 1st Bank & Trust puts up a tree in their Fullerton branch and members of the community select a name tag and purchase gifts for the stranger on the tag.

FULLERTON — While most Americans are slowing down as the holiday season arrives, the U.S. Postal Service is heading into their busiest time of year.Fullerton Postmaster Tom Bates said that they have already started to see an increase in letters and packages coming through Nance County.

FULLERTON — Buying groceries can help support Fullerton’s Future.Residents are encouraged to save their labels to help raise money for Fullerton’s Future. For every “Best Choice,” “Best Choice Superior Selections,” and “Clearly By Best Choice” label saved, the preschool can receive $0.03.

Broadway to close for Christmas event

FULLERTON — The city of Fullerton is getting ready for Christmas.The Fullerton City Council approved a plan to close Broadway Street from 3-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 for the Fullerton Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration.

FULLERTON — The holiday spirit will be in full swing in downtown Fullerton on Friday, Dec. 5, as the community gathers for its annual Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration: “Miracle on Main Street.” This year’s festivities promise to be bigger and brighter than ever!

FULLERTON — The Fullerton Museum will be open on Friday, Dec. 5 from 2-5 p.m.The open house is part of Fullerton’s Old Fashioned Christmas celebration.Visitors can enjoy apple cider and a candy cane from the tree. They will also have a Guess the Candy in the jar.

City looking for properties with abandoned well

Abandoned wells pose a serious threat to groundwater quality and public safety. Unsealed or deteriorating wells can act as direct pathways for contaminants—such as fertilizers, pesticides, and bacteria — to enter the aquifer.
Fullerton’s junior class returned home on Thursday with the traveling trophy after winning a round of Jeopardy against Twin River at the end of County Government Day. Students were quizzed with things they learned throughout the day.

County Government Day

Part of County Government Day includes visiting the different offices around the courthouse. Fullerton and Twin River juniors spent their afternoon meeting with county officials and learning the different aspects of local government.

Remainder of November SNAP benefits issued to Nebraskans
