Life is a roller coaster ride

The weather this winter has been a roller coaster ride. One day you are wearing a t-shirt and shorts the next a woolen sweater and a stocking cap. Pretty much describes life’s pattern. Life goes along rather smoothly then the storms move in, some mild others more severe.

Reeg retires from Loup Power DistrictCOLUMBUS, Neb. — James Reeg of Genoa has retired from Loup Power District after more than 45 years of service.Reeg joined Loup in 1980 as maintenance man at the Genoa Headworks. In 1982, he was promoted to equipment operator.

MAC final show for 2026

Merrick Arts Council’s final show for the 2025-26 season will be on Sunday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. featuring Rebecca Noble’s Cabaret Theatre at the Central City Performing Arts Center, Edwin and Bernice Lock Theatre. This show, which features four women, has been delighting audiences since 1991.
