The story I am going to tell you happened several years ago—back when my husband and I were still working at our respective jobs. My hubby and I rarely got a day off together, but when we did, we usually “ran away” from home. And so, on the day our story occurred, we headed out of town.

JOY Club returns Sept. 4

FULLERTON — Parents, if you are looking for a great after school activity for your elementary age children, JOY Club is the answer.All children, K-6th grade, are invited to JOY Club this school year at Victory Baptist Church, 210 Germand St. Club meetings take place right after school to 5 p.m.

Busy September at library

The Fullerton Public Library has a new fall schedule of activities. Please stop in the library and pick up a schedule or find one at several local businesses. Information can also be found on our Facebook page.The library will be CLOSED on Monday, September 2 for Labor Day.

Museum is looking for volunteers

Fullerton Museum works with the Nance County Historical Society collecting and displaying history from Belgrade, Fullerton, and Genoa. We’re always looking for Fullerton or Nance County related items. Volunteers are always welcome to help clean, display, or decorate.

Lisa Lassek, board member of the Nance County Foundation, presented a check for $250.00 to Lathan Woollen, trainer, of K-9 Zina, to go toward the care, training and housing of Zina.
