Madame Caret Potato Gratin1 garlic clove 2 lbs. baking potatoes-peeled and thinly sliced 1 cup grated Swiss cheese 1 cup heavy cream Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thoroughly rub a shallow baking dish with the garlic. Layer ½ the potatoes; sprinkle with half the cheese, then ½ the cream.
