Olson/Wolf loan application deadline set for July 1

Graduates from high schools in Antelope, Boone, Greeley, Nance, and Wheeler Counties are encouraged to apply for the Olson/Wolf Loan Program, which offers low-interest educational loans to support post-secondary education.

Managed by the Albion Education Foundation and approved annually by the Boone Central School Board, the program allows eligible students to borrow up to $5,000 per year. The loan is interest-free while the student is enrolled in school, with a six-month grace period after graduation or withdrawal before repayment begins or the loan is converted through a local bank.

Applications are now being accepted and must be submitted by July 1, 2025. Students may renew the loan for up to four years of undergraduate study and one year of graduate study.

Application forms are available online, can be picked up at Boone Central High School (605 S. 6th St., Albion), or obtained by contacting Richard Martinsen at 1212 W. State St., Albion, 402-395-6004. Completed applications are preferred via email to bcoffice@boonecentral.esu7.org, or may be dropped off or mailed to the high school office.

Each applicant must have a financially responsible adult co-signer and provide a Statement of Reliability from the co-signer’s bank.
