A 54-year-old Alda woman died on Sunday after her motorcycle struck a deer on Highway 22 north of Fullerton.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday after a deer ran across the highway and struck the motorcycle that Penny Earl, 54, of Alda, was driving. A second motorcycle was traveling with Earl. No other injuries were reported.
Fullerton Fire & Rescue transported Earl to Merrick Medical Central in Central City to meet a lifeline helicopter.
