A good neighbor, Mike Santin

Mike Santin was recently presented with a certificate naming him an Admiral in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska.

He was presented with the honor by Nebraska State Senator Loren Lippincott. Santin, 62, attended Fullerton High School and now works as a farmer. A Nebraska Admiral is the state’s highest civic honor.

“You know you have a good neighbor when you can trust him with what is yours!,” Lippincott said. “When he gives with no opportunity for repayment. He does his best to protect your interests, your property, your earning potential and you! Your good neighbor informs you, teaches you, walks alongside you while you learn.  He is never self promoting, but instead wants to know about your welfare, your activities, your life! He is fiscally responsible with what is his, and protective of what’s yours!  A good neighbor is productive, disciplined with his time, not a busy body but a doer.  He is humble in his spirit, true in his character, charitable in his morals, gentle in his ways!  I am blessed to have such a neighbor in my friend, Mike Santin!”
