1st grade visits museum

The first-grade class of Fullerton Public Schools traveled to Grand Island on Oct. 9. The class visited the Stuhr Museum to learn about the Pawnee Indians. The first graders got to see the inside of a hillside sod house and even “build” their own teepee. They were able to learn all about how the Pawnee used ever part of the buffalo, from the horns to the tongue! They were also able to see what kind of toys Pawnee children might have played with. After the Stuhr Museum the first-graders went to a fire station see what firefighters and paramedics do. Overall, it was a fun filled and educational day.
