Sex offender investigation leads to 2 arrests

FULLERTON — Deputies made two arrests on Monday following an investigation into a report of an unregistered sex offender living less than 500 feet from a licensed daycare.

Sheriff Ben Bakewell said that deputies arrested David Michael Albert Sr. for violation of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry Act and possession of a controlled substance. He said that Albert, a lifetime sex offender, failed to notify the Nance County Sheriff’s Office that he was living at the residence in the 100 block of Esther Street.

During their investigation, Bakewell and deputies also discovered several items of drug paraphernalia, items used in the distribution of narcotics and methamphetamines.

The owner of the residence, Margaret Parrott, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
