February Students of Month announced

GENOA — The February Students of the Month for Twin River are Eden Gehring and Luis Ortega-Avalos.

Eden Gehring is a 7th grader at Twin River Public School.

Here is what Eden’s teachers had to say about her: “Eden tries to help people when they need it. She always pays attention and adds to class discussions or asks questions.” and “Eden is a very polite and pleasant young lady. Eden has a good understanding of the material presented in class. Her thoughts and comments reflect she cares and really puts an effort into the process of learning. I enjoy having her in class and I can always expect an original comment from her. She is usually quiet and reading after her work is completed.”

Eden is the daughter of Brent and Eve Gehring.

Luis Ortega-Avalos is an 8th grader at Twin River Public School.

Here is what Luis’s teachers said about him: “Luis has been doing an amazing job since he has gotten here! He caught up on all the reading and assignments quickly and he’s such a joy to have in class. He is so polite and kind, I’m glad he is fitting in a Twin River so well!” and“Luis is new to Twin River this semester, but he is already such a positive role model for his peers. He is very respectful and kind. He has such a fun personality and always gives his best effort. We are glad to have him here!”

Luis is the son of Yanet Avalos Mena.
