STANTON — Coltt Kremlacek needs your help.Kremlacek, a former Fullerton student, was injured in a motorcycle accident in the early hours of Aug. 11 in Council Bluffs. He was wearing a full-face helmet at the time of the accident.

Flowerbelles meet at the Babb Farm

Flowerbelles meet at the Roy and Shelly Babb Farm. Karon Horn, president called the meeting to order. Eleven members were present as they shared flowers picked from their gardens. We were sad to know we will have one less member as Noni Sprague will be moving to South Dakota with her son.

Cedar Rapids Bloodmobile goal almost reached

CEDAR RAPIDS— The Red Cross Bloodmobile visited Cedar Rapids, Monday, September 16. The goal of 49 units of blood collected was almost reached with 45 being donated. Thirty-nine of these were whole blood, with 3 being Power Reds, which count at 6, totalling 45 units donated.

State police warn of social media scammers

LINCOLN — The Nebraska State Patrol is urging Nebraskans to exercise caution when communicating online. In the past several weeks, NSP has received multiple reports of scammers impersonating State of Nebraska officials. One victim has reported losing $5,000 in crypto currency because of the scam.

If a tree has smaller than onehalf inch holes here and there on the trunk, it likely had an insect borer. Visible holes are made by adult borers leaving the tree, rather than an insect boring into the tree. Holes in the trunk indicate borers have been in the tree for at least one season.
