NCJ staff wins 5 press awards

LINCOLN — The Nance County Journal is an award-winning newspaper.The NCJ staff learned Saturday night that they had received five awards in the 2024 Better Newspaper Competition Among the Newspapers of Nebraska.

Fullerton represented at Spring Game

Fullerton juniors, Hunter Gochenour, Morgan Supik, Makayla Robinson, Keila Dubas and Jaci Maxfield, were selected to play with the Cornhusker Marching Band and Big Red Express on Saturday at the Spring Game in Lincoln.

Rinkol receives honors

Twin River senior Brayden Rinkol received both Gold medal Best of the Class 2024 and Academic Achievement Award at Twin River’s honors night. He is the son of Randy and Nancy Rinkol. He plans to study Finance at the University of Nebraska – Kearney starting in fall.

Library gearing up for summer programs

The library has great things happening in May and our Summer Reading Programs are on the horizon!Brittany from EPIC Salads will be in the library on Monday, May 6th at 6:00 pm to let us sample some of her salads and other treats! Sign up in the library by Wednesday, May 1.

Twin River FFA announces greenhouse sale

Twin River High School’s FFA chapter is hosting the annual greenhouse sale. It is running from Wednesday, May 1st, through Friday, May 3rd.Join us at the Twin River High School greenhouse, located in the south parking lot, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on each sale day.

Donation buys contents of Koala-T Preschool

Sullivan Agency Inc. recently donated $2,000 to Fullerton’s Future Inc. to purchase the contents of Koala-T Preschool. Elaine Sims is retiring this week after more than 30 years in Fullerton.
