Daycare hires first director

Fullerton’s Future Inc., a nonprofit preschool and childcare center in Fullerton, has announced Carlee Konz as its Center Director.Carlee is originally from Burwell, but now lives in Genoa with her husband, Jerrad, and their 9-month-old son, Clay.

Paige Horn was left off the Fullerton Roll of Excellence when the honor roll was published in the March 20 edition of the newspaper. It is reprinted this week.The Nance County Journal regrets the mistake.

234 students honored during convocation

LINCOLN — 234 University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate students who have been officially admitted to teacher education programs during the 2023-24 academic year were recognized at the inaugural Teacher Education Convocation April 5 at Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall.
Points West Community Bank has generously pledged $2,500 per year for three years to Fullerton’s Future Inc. April is Alcohol Awareness Month. As a mental health provider and alcohol and drug counselor, I ask but one thing: we do just this: gain awareness. And NO, I am not necessarily talking about facts and statistics about how many youths are drinking alcohol or how many deaths are alcohol-related.
