Cemetery Association receives $5,000 check

Ashley Boryca, board member of the Nance County Foundation, presented a check for $5,000 to Butch Horacek, Vice President, and board member of the Fullerton Cemetery Association, to go toward the purchase of a loader tractor that will be used to help with upkeep of the Fullerton Cemetery.

Crews work to restore power after ice storm

A March ice and windstorm traveled through Cornhusker Public Power District’s service area on Monday, March 25, 2024, causing approximately 2,800 meters to be without power, many for two days. The storm started the morning of March 25th and did not let up until the evening of March 26th.

Genealogical society to meet on April 8

The Boone-Nance County Genealogical Society will hold a regular meeting on April 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Edward Public Library, at 302 Beaver Street, St. Edward, Nebraska.April is national humor and national garden month.

Loup Delivers County Tax Payments

COLUMBUS — Loup Power District recently delivered inside revenue payments and the second half of the in-lieu-oftax payments to the counties it serves. This is a benefit of being served by a locally controlled, not-for-profit utility.
