FULLERTON — Janae Olson has run Mama O’s Daycare out of her home since 2015. She became officially licensed in 2016. Originally trained as a hair stylist, Janae’s desire to be with her children inspired her to start her in-home daycare.

Technicians with the Lower Loup Natural Resources District collected 22 samples from 20 irrigation wells and 2 domestic wells in northeast Wheeler County for this project during summer 2022. Samples were chemically and isotopically characterized to help determine the potential source of nitrogen.

Postal workers ready for holidays

FULLERTON — It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. “Thanksgiving to Christmas it gets insane,” Postmaster Tom Bates said. “We are starting to see the uptick now but after Thanksgiving is when it really picks up.” Employees at Fullerton’s post office are gearing up for a busy holiday season.

FULLERTON — Larry Phillips was born in Fullerton, Nebraska in 1934. His father worked at a filling station. During World War Two the family moved to Central City then Kearney, where they stayed through the duration of the war.

Toy drive begins at Ciancio Hardware

FULLERTON — A Toys for Tots toy drive is taking place in Ciancio Hardware now until the 23rd of December. Any new unwrapped toys can be donated in a special box at the hardware store. Any toys donated will be given to children in Fullerton. “We don’t know names,” Sarah Ciancio said.

Fullerton music program honored by NMEA

Fullerton’s music program, along with director Colton Kohl, was recognized recently by the Nebraska Music Education Association for having more than 75 percent of the student body participating in the program. Fullerton was named a Level 1 school by the NMEA.

Local kennel to play host to national championship

FULLERTON — GoodLife Kennels in conjunction with The Kingdom Outfitters will be hosting the 60th Anniversary of the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association National Amateur Championship in Central Nebraska. In 2017 Collin Pickrel founded GoodLife Kennels.
