The Piecin’ Pals Quilt Guild

met Wednesday, November 1, with ten members present. Roll call question was, What have you done for fun that was scary? Everyone had a different answer, most involving driving something scary to driving under scary conditions. Deb Phelps had to be different: she was riding a horse!

The Boone-Nance County Genealogical Society

will hold a regular meeting at the Fullerton Public Library, 903 Broadway Street, Fullerton, Nebraska on November 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Since we are meeting right after the Veteran’s Day holiday, we will be discussing different methods for researching the veterans in our family.

Missy Crouse, board member of the Nance County Foundation, presents a check for $1,000 to Keith Umstead, Nance County 4-H Council president. The grant request was for funding of facility improvement projects that would provide better and safer access to the Event Center building.

FULLERTON — Chief Deputy Eric Griffin originally comes from Lincoln. He is a graduate of Lincoln Southwest High School. Following high school, he received his degree in Emergency Management from American Public University.

A FITTING MEMORIAL

FULLERTON — Whether driving by the school, the dentist or going to or from downtown, 4th Street is arguably one of the busiest streets in Fullerton. For many years Fullerton residents couldn’t miss the two large eagle statues that stood on either side of house number 714’s garage door.

Teacher insurance premium increates

LINCOLN — There will be an overall increase of 1.99% in premiums next year for the medical and dental insurance plans used by nearly every Nebraska school district, following action by the Educators Health Alliance (EHA), a consortium of three statewide public school groups that manages the plan.
