Take action to stop bullying in your community

LINCOLN — Bullying can affect a child’s school experience, performance, mental health, and even behavior at home. During the month of October, Nebraskans are encouraged to educate themselves on the signs and harmful effects that these actions can have on the children who experience bullying.

Dr. Dillon Clarey achieves board certification in dermatology

COLUMBUS — Columbus Community Hospital congratulates Dr. Dillon Clarey, a dermatologist with Columbus Dermatology Clinic, for achieving board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology. Board certification is the highest standard in dermatology care.

FIRST FIELD TRIP

On Wednesday, October 4th the Fullerton Public School’s Kindergarten class took their first field trip. The class traveled by bus to St. Libory to visit the ScareCrow Patch. The Kindergarteners were able to participate in a variety of fun fall activities.

October begins 4-H enrollment

The 4-H pledge states: I pledge my HEAD to clearer thinking, my HEART to greater loyalty, my HANDS to larger service, my HEALTH to better living, for my club, my community, my country and my world. Youth who participate in 4-H have the opportunities to do activities that magnify that pledge.

Titans crown king, queen after win

Twin River crowned their Homecoming royalty on Friday following a 67-26 win over Madison. Ryder Kleckner (left) was crowning Homecoming King and Chloe Pilakowski was crowned Homecoming Queen.

Fullerton Band makes top 3 at Harvest of Harmony competition

The Fullerton Warrior marching band competed in the Harvest of Harmony parade on Saturday. It was a chilly morning with temperatures in the low 30s when the parade began. Fullerton placed third in Class D out of 44 other competing bands.

Farmers take to fields for harvest

FULLERTON — According to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, 92 percent of the state’s total land area is utilized by farms and ranches and one in four jobs in Nebraska are related to agriculture.
