Abandoned wells pose a serious threat to groundwater quality and public safety. Unsealed or deteriorating wells can act as direct pathways for contaminants—such as fertilizers, pesticides, and bacteria — to enter the aquifer.
Fullerton’s junior class returned home on Thursday with the traveling trophy after winning a round of Jeopardy against Twin River at the end of County Government Day. Students were quizzed with things they learned throughout the day.

LINCOLN — Today, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) distributed the remaining balance of November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to all Nebraska recipients.This disbursement brings households to their full monthly SNAP amount for November.
