CCC to hold commencements

GRAND ISLAND — Central Community College will hold commencement ceremonies for its Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses on Friday, May 9.The Grand Island and Hastings ceremonies will be held at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.TheGrandIslandcommencement will begin at 10 a.m.

Missing woman found alive

Leah Noyd was located just before 5 p.m. on Friday.Nance County Sheriff Ben Bakewell announced Friday night that Noyd was found by a turkey hunter in rural Nance County at 4:45 p.m. She was hungry, dehydrated and suffering from exposure.Noyd, 21, was reported missing on Wednesday.
