Busy month coming to library

Bloodmobile collects 50 units

Fullerton Bloodmobile was held February 11. We were able to collect 50 units in spite of all the illness, and a very cold day. Walk-ins were Gene Burton and Kevin Wetovick. Those donors giving double units were Pat Larsen, Scott Rhinehart, Jack Nelson, Brandon Welch, Mike Liesch and Lisa Lassek.

Capitol illuminated orange for Genoa Indian School

LINCOLN — Winter weather postponed plans to illuminate the Nebraska State Capitol orange to honor the survivors and descendants of the Genoa Indian Industrial School.Originally scheduled to happen on Thursday, Feb. 20, state officials announced that the plans were moved to Feb.

9 Warriors selected for Class D All-State Band

KEARNEY — Nine members of the Fullerton band have been selected for the Class D All-State Band.Riley Thomas and Kinzie Sharman will perform with the Jazz Band. Lylla Sabata and Makayla Robinson will perform with the Wind Ensemble.

In 2023, nearly 29,000 households scattered across rural Nebraska received postcards instructing them how to get their drinking water tested, free of charge, for a harmful contaminant state policymakers have been aware of for decades.

Health survey available for residents 65+

Emily Frankel, an Omaha resident with ties to Nance County, needs your help.Frankel, a doctoral candidate in Gerontology at the University of Nebraska Omaha, is specializing in the study of aging. Her team is conducting a survey to understand how nutrition impacts quality of life and well-being.

Snowfall brings fun outdoors

The recent snowfall allowed some fun outdoor activities. Cousins Charlotte Bittner, George Bittner, Conley Reuling and Henry Reuling all enjoyed time out in the snow.
