FULLERTON — The Fullerton Public Library was recently awarded the Children’s Book Project grant from the Pilcrow Foundation.Founded in 2013, the Pilcrow Foundation’s mission is to provide new, quality, hardcover children’s books to rural public libraries across the United States.

Twin River hires next superintendent

GENOA — The Twin River Board of Education have hired the district’s next superintendent.The board met on Monday and approved a two-year contract with Brandi Bartels. Bartels, who will join the district in July, currently is the principal at Randolph High School.

GRAND ISLAND — Weather permitting, began Monday on N-92 at reference post 368+69, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.JMN Construction, LLC of Valley is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge deck repairs, milling, asphalt overlay and joint replacement.
