County on pace for big turnout

FULLERTON — The 2024 General Election is already underway.Nance County Clerk Adrian Chlopek said on Tuesday that so far there have been 150 people who have filled out the application for early voting.

Russell resigns seat on Board of Education

FULLERTON — Scott Russell has resigned his seat on the Fullerton Board of Education.The board accepted his resignation at their meeting on Monday. Russell is currently on the ballot to become a Nance County Supervisor. He is one of three candidates running for three seats on the board.

Extension receives free tree

Thanks to the Ten Free Trees program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Nebraska Extension in Nance County and Nance County 4-H received 10 trees for the Nance County Fairgrounds project.

Police investigating death in car

FULLERTON — Nance County Sheriff’s office and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the death of a man found inside a car south of Fullerton.Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call just after noon on Thursday of a person in a vehicle on Highway 14 at mile marker 97.

FULLERTON — Don’t trust everything you read online.Nance County official want to make it clear that Nance County is not a sanctuary county when it comes to people entering the United States illegally. The Nance County Supervisors passed a resolution reaffirming that fact at their Sept. 24 meeting.

Fullerton FFA collects for hurricane disaster relief

FULLERTON — Fullerton’s FFA is working with other FFA chapters in the area to collect donations for hurricane disaster relief.Donations need to be dropped off at the school at the ag shop or with a FFA member by 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The donations will be taken to York Friday afternoon.
