FULLERTON — In 1953 Ruth and Gene became engaged and began planning their wedding.
Eugene wanted people at their wedding and the two came up with the idea to be married during their regular church services. They got the approval of their minister and after his sermon, walked down the aisle and were married, much to the surprise of the congregation.
