Todd Michael Hellbusch

Todd Michael Hellbusch, 60, of Fullerton, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at Boone County Health Center in Albion, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Fullerton with Reverend James Gruber officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery near Belgrade. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 18th at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Todd Hellbusch was born on March 23, 1964, to Roger and Janet (Evers) Hellbusch in Central City. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Belgrade. Growing up on the family farm near Timber Creek with his four brothers, Todd attended grade school up to the 8th grade at Timber Creek District 7 before graduating from Fullerton High School in 1982.

On Aug. 16, 2008, Todd married Rita Valasek at Peace Lutheran Church, and together they established their home in Fullerton. Throughout his life, Todd embraced various roles and responsibilities. He worked diligently alongside his father and brothers in farming, along with managing Busch Auto Sales, Detailing, and Propane. Additionally, Todd and Rita were proud owners of the Timber Creek Bar in Fullerton.

Todd thrived on adrenaline. Whether riding his motorcycle, cruising in his Hell Cat, or exploring in his Razr or Jeep. He embraced the small things in life and had a tender spot for all animals, including his cat that had no name in which he fried eggs for in the morning. Running his auto dealership was more than a job — it was a passion. Yet, above all, Todd cherished moments with family and friends. His grandchildren and nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge and experiences with them, always eager to teach and inspire.

He is survived by his wife, Rita of Fullerton; daughters, Misty (Jack) Evers of St. Paul and Brittany (Drew) Mayer of St. Paul; grandchildren, Austyn Mayer and Lennox and Jaxyn Evers, all of St. Paul; parents, Roger and Jan Hellbusch of Fullerton; brothers, Troy and Marianne Hellbusch of Belgrade, Tom and Mary Hellbusch of Fullerton, and Tim and Jenny Hellbusch of Belgrade; nieces and nephews, Taylor (KC) Rieken, Tawni (Jake) Barrett, Tori Hellbusch, Tessa Nelson, Sophie (Jonathan) Carroll, and Tyson and Ryan Hellbusch; and many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Thad Hellbusch, and grandparents, Werner and Freda (Badje) Hellbusch and August and Evelyn (Knapp) Evers.
